I'm a lover of hearses, their formal elegance, and the reaction you get from others while driving one...lol. This blog is a mish-mash of my thoughts, dreams, and past experiences of my so-called life. Comments are always welcome.

I saw Frances Bavier in an episode of a Perry Mason rerun recently. This was pre-Mayberry TV, but Frances had the whole bland Aunt Bea look going on then (down to her sensible black shoes). Our Aunt Bea was also in a disturbing film called "The Bad Seed" (something of a camp classic now). And a real shocker for me was seeing Mayberry RFD cast member Hope Summers appear as an elderly, satanist neighbor in the film "Rosemary's Baby." In her Mayberry days, Hope played Aunt Beas's gossipy friend from church, Clara Edwards. So it was trippy to see the benign "Clara Edwards" sans blouse and bra in that freaky, topless, devil worship scene along with Ruth Gordon and Patsy Kelly.
oh Ruth,...she was a Peach!!
